I like it is small, it is quite fast, not reaching the transfer speed written but probably it depends on other my configurations. It is heating a little but not hot. Easy to use. It was delivered with a protective cage from rubber plastic which is good. It is clearly very expensive but if it is robust is OK, this will be seen in future.
the perfect size. super fast speed. this is so much cheaper then buying the upgraded hard drive space on a new laptop. the only bad part is this is not backward compatible. Its thunderbolt 4 but will not work on old laptop though USB. most new laptops have usb-c or thunderbolt so this is future proof. a little pricy in general but still a cheaper option then upgrading hard drive space and this works with apply and windows.
Ottimo prodotto.
Fast and furious
I use this for vector graphics, map-making, data management and general productivity. I wouldn’t recommend this for those that create and then delete lots of very large files on a daily basis — like those who create and edit large video projects. But this is a very good choice for most other uses, applications and workflows.
OSX TimeMachine backed up 600TB in around 30 minutes from a MacBookPro 16" with Thunderbolt cable supplied with this external drive. Copied 250TB of photos to the same disk in around 15 min using a simple copy / paste. So much faster than same backup using spinning disk external storage using the same connection & cable type, and faster than a brand new ITB SDXC card directly connected to my Mac.
Great product , very fast and stable !One bad point … the product get very hot.Fast shipping lees then a week
Blazing fast, very small and works at memory speed
The product came well packed. I used it with my iMac. It came with Thunderbolt cable, and also a Sabrent Shockproof Protector. The drive does becomes a bit warm, but so far, it has not given me any problem.Copying files to and from the drive is very smooth. Good buy indeed.
It's very fast, and it works (so far). But I'm a big techie who's owned plenty of drives, computers, camera gear, etc. and I've never seen a device run anywhere near this hot. You can quite literally burn yourself touching this. I don't have children or pets, but I'm concerned about the longevity of something like this. Fingers crossed.
It can be used to duplicate drives or as a external drive bay but, what was most impressive is that it allowed me to format large drive that I could not format before. It actually works better than my old computer. It's read write speed seems to be quite fast. In fact I could not tell the difference in speed between internally mounted drives an this externally mounted drive bay. I only gave three stars for tech support because I haven't used it because, I haven't needed it.
I bought this specifically for wiping hard drives and I have had no problems with it.
I have had this product for almost a year now. While it is blazing my fast, it auto-ejects all the time. It really disrupts workflow and is really a nuisance when I’m writing music and it decides to eject. I would spare yourself the $400 (that is paid for the 2tb). I give it 2 stars because the guy I called in tech support was friendly and because it is faster than advertised, but otherwise it is almost unusable.
The SABRENT USB drive bay worked pretty much as expected. It is perfect for the thicker 3.5" drives. For the thinner 3.5 inch drives it was a bit tricky to get those plugged in. I have not tried a solid state drive but the bay doors seem to be sized to correctly. It worked well with Micsoft Disk Managment and also with EASE US Partition Magic.
Ultra speedy thunderbolt external SSD. Perfect for MacBook M1 Max. Great value, form factor, look and capacity.
I bought a 2TB digital drive and quickly ran out of space. So needed a bigger drive. After looking around I found the Sabrent Rocket. What a machine! Tiny so it doesn't take up a lot of space, this drive is a real rocket.Fast, reliable, easy to set up and use, the Sabrent Rocket does it all. And the most differential between the 2TB drive I first purchased, and the Sabrent was $200. Think about that. $200 more for twice the space. My 2TB drive was a La Cie. I've bought a half dozen solid-state drives from LaCie and have always loved them. Given this was a different brand I was a bit hesitant at first. But once I installed it, I had zero hesitation. This is a great drive at a great price. Tough to beat.
Amazing product works amazing
It fits my laptop and desktop drives fine. Transfer rate is slower than I would like but it does the job.
Had a corrupt file in the boot registry that prevented Windows from launching. Was able to pull the hard drive, place it in the dock and connect it to an operational computer as an external drive. Was able to search the drive, find the corrupt file that was causing the boot error, renamed it, re-installed the drive and the problem was solved. Great product
Just failed to recognize one of my Gpt drives
replaced my old cable system with this unit. Loved the cloning ability. Was able to read drives quickly. Saved me lots of time.
Works well
I used the cloning feature to replace a laptop hard drive. It was simple and efficient. I will continue to use the external drive to back up my hard drive.
The fact that I could just plug the drive in and not have to open my computer to test each drive
i wanted an external hard drive i could use for the main operating system to replace the internal hard drive on my mac, don't need huge storage so this was plenty, works great
Worked as needed. Plugged it in to the USB, computer recognized it and was able to transfer a bunch of files from old hard drives. Easy and efficient.
Did the job I needed it for, making a clone of a 500 GB HD to a 1 TB SSD. The offline cloning feature made it very easy. Status LEDs showed cloning progress in 25% steps. It took about 90 minutes and I did not need a PC or cloning software. The cloned partition size was not expanded on the SSD and therefore I had another 500 GB unallocated. That is not a problem. You can use Windows Disk Management to allocate it as another volume or extend another volume if adjacent to it.It came with a decent illustrated user’s manual which is getting to be very rare these days.I see other reviews mention that drives larger than 2 TB will require using GPT instead of MBR. That is a legacy Windows limitation and I don’t know how well the offline cloning feature handles it.One very minor issue I had was that the SSD did not fit exactly and leaned a bit to one side but it still worked fine. My only concern is that I may be flexing the SATA connectors which will eventually fatigue and break.
