Works great with my Mac. No issues so far and the fan is whisper-quiet.

Insgesamt funktioniert das ganze gut. Die Festplatten klicken super rein und stehen stabil.Auch 2.5" Platten werden durch die Abdeckung gut gehalten. Das Ganze wird zuverlässig vom PC erkannt, auch wenn das USB Kabel bisschen kurz ist.Warum müssen diese Teile nur so teuer sein? Das ist doch kein NAS, sondern nur ein paar Stecker in einem Gehäuse....

After a couple of HD enclosures died on me, and an old dock became "iffy," I really needed this SATA 4-bay dock. It's functioning perfectly right now, with all 4 drives (2 3TBs, 1 4TB, and 1 1TB drive) working flawlessly. I might even buy another and add a few TB to my system.

Best way I know of the reuse the hard drives from defunct computers so one doesn't loose their data and photos.

I used this to clone a hard drive and it worked fine. It did take several hours, but I was moving a full 1TB drive to a 2TB drive. I used a third party disk partition app to merge the new unused space into the partition from transferred from the original disk. No problems and no loss of data.

Great item really useful not super intuitive but a small learning curve would be better if it had no learning curve at all and it was just obvious but that would mean the designer of this item would have to be really thoughtful but instead it’s design by an 98% type person an almost got it perfect!!!

Super easy to use. I had NO IDEA what I was doing but I pulled it off! I love this little machine.

Pros:The unit was easy to set up and use, very straight forward. I have now cloned several SSD drives successfully.I would recommend this without reservation.Cons:The unit is a is light plastic and doesn't feel real solid due to this, and that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Worked fine, until it didn't. This thing worked for almost 4 months. Bummer

Disk to disk worked like a champ.Ghosted a big drive to a smaller drive thru this and had no issues.Only con is with disk to disk, the destination drive has to be equal or larger due to no software intervention. Which is why I had use ghost but works as described.

So easy to setup. Just plug it in

No issues so far had it for a year and still going strong. Hasn't let me down, it has tackled all jobs successfully so far.

Good build quality and easy install. First use was to clone a 500GB drive; process was smooth and fast, ran unattended. The USB 3.0 connection is fast enough, but an eSATA connection would have been useful as well.

My main computer crashed and loading windows again I lost all my files. With this device I was able to recover and recover all files on this computer as well as data from two old ones. Fantastic

I used to duplicate a 500GB Macbook Hard drive to a newer 500GB Solid State Drive.It worked well, no issues. I put the drives in, pushed the buttons as directed in the instruction guide.I walked awayI came back later and I had a direct copy of a drive.It works. I am pleased.

I purchased this so I could clone a failing drive before it crashed and it worked perfectly. Will use in the future for backups. I used usb 3.0 and while not as fast as an internal drive, it was faster than I expected.

I was using Macrium Reflect software to try and clone hard drives with a single bay version of this device. For whatever reason one of my computers would fail every time. I got this and used the cloning feature built into the dual bay dock to clone the hard drive without using the software and it worked perfectly.I did upgrade from a 500gb hard drive to a 1tb hard drive and using the dock's cloning feature it only cloned that 500gb but I was able to go into disk manager and create an E: partition of another 500gb. Not ideal but I do have use of the entire 1tb of space.

i have a WD black SSD docked in it. holds files well, transfer rate seems fine, but if i try to play some steam games off of it i get tons of performance issues and the read/write speed seems to be hampered. ran crystal disk and found that the read/write was 100, about half of what's okay for gaming if you just need file storage it's great. but if you wanna have your steam games on it it's not the greatest.

Expands my storage space so easily.

Plugs in and works as described. Great cloning.

I used this to duplicate the regular hdd in my laptop. I copied it onto a new SSD of same size. Computer started up with no hesitation.
